This bulb is a high pressure sodium lamp that operates on Mercury and Metal Halide Ballasts.

A conversion bulb allows you to have only one ballast for both HPS and MH usage. This allows you to select the light characteristics your crop needs at whatever growth stage it's in. Then change to the other type when desired without investing in another ballast.
* Use only with Mercury or Metal Halide Ballast (constant wattage, constant wattage auto-transformer, reactor, or lag types) in good operating condition and conforming to appropriate ANSI Specifications.
* DO NOT use this lamp on a conventional type high pressure sodium ballast.
* This bulb will NOT operate on twin ballasts.
