Desperately need a working WATER TRUCK for use at the REAL “ GERONIMO MONUMENT”. Our water system needs a major upgrade so most of the watering must be done by hand along with the simple drip systems watering …. We are trying to obtain funding to help with maintaining what has already been established at the Monument ….. It’s been a long hot summer and definitely not enough rain in our area ….. a WATER TRUCK would eliminate a lot of the time consuming hours of hand watering hundreds of trees ….. creating valuable time for ….. searching for other funding sources.

THE REAL “GERONIMO MONUMENT”
In March of 1996 Geronimo Monument was incorporated here in the Southeast corner of Arizona at the base of the Chiricahua Mountains to create and build an on going Living Monument to Geronimo and his Tribe. The basis for the desire to bring into existence a Real Monument to Geronimo and the Chiricahua Apaches was seeing the visual insult of the “Geronimo Surrenders Monument” in Apache, Arizona. , referred to by Chiricahua Apaches as the “Monument to Ignorance”. We have dedicated 300 acres to make this dream a Reality. The land was blessed Sacred Ground by Native American friends of Geronimo and the Chiricahua Apaches. The vision for its future includes trees, ponds, ceremonial, meditation and recreation areas, camping, playing fields and swimming facilities. It is our wish to attain a balance with nature bringing about a living work of enduring significance.
