Jackson is a cute little guy that came to us from a shelter. He is young, about a year old is all. Still pretty timid but we are working on social skills. He has a docked tail and is an active and playful boy. He has been neutered and vaccinated. The Vet has given him a physical and other than needing some work on socialization, he is in great shape. He is getting along with his fellow foster dogs just fine and shares a 'room' with another neutered male. Jackson has made progress but still would rather play fetch, or tug of war with his people than to be held and cuddled. He just prefers to be an active companion. He is great at running on lead next to a bicycle if you are an avid rider. I don't know about long distances but a couple of miles and he is in heaven. If you are an active person and want a dog that could keep up and enjoy the activity level of hiking, jogging, any active lifestyle, Jackson could be a great companion for you. He is a small compact little dog at about 13 pounds. Low maintainence, easy to care for. He is using a doggy door from his kennel and has some idea about keeping his sleeping and eating area clean. I would say that he still could use continued house training or reinforcement of what he already knows. Another 'typical' Terrier activity level. He can be a little destructive if not watched. He would teach his new owner to keep things picked up off the floor or Jackson considers it a toy. Jackson isn't the type of dog for everyone but will make a great companion for the right, active person that will be willing to spend time with him. He gets along great with other dogs too.
