Dachshund - Small - Adult - Male - Dog - Buddy

Buddy is a standard Dachshund, a size we don't get in very often. While he arrived very much over weight, he has lost the excess and is looking quite dapper! Buddy is about 6 years old and Dachshunds often live to be 16 and older, so many years of being a companion still left in him! Buddy is a red smooth standard Dachshund and is very handsome. He also can be a little bit of a 'talker' . He loves to talk to us when we will stand and visit with him! He is so comical. He gets along well with other dogs and is very calm and fairly quiet for a Dachshund. Loves people and attention. He also just loves his toys. He seems to prefer the hard latex ones the most but will pick up others to play with and will try to get one of the other rescues to play a bit of 'tug of war' with him. He appears to be house trained and uses the doggy door in his kennel to go outside to do his business. He's affectionate and gentle. He will make a wonderful, loyal companion for someone that has wanted a standard sized Dachshund rather than a mini! Buddy will have a free health check up at a local veterinarian in Tucson. He will go to his new home neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.
